Gaulihütte and Bächlitalhütte, please note only cash payment possible!

Programme: (will be adapted to the conditions, the weather and the participants)

  • 1st day: Approach Gaulihütte, possibly ascent of the Tälligrat, climbing up to 4b plus ridge scrambling, thus a total ascent of 1700 metres on the first day!
  • Day 2: Oberi Bächlilücke, if possible Gross Diamantstock SW ridge. Descent to the Bächlitalhütte.
  • Day 3: Alplistock east summit south ridge, descent Rätrichsboden, journey home.
Prerequisites for attendance

First experience in alpine touring and rope technique at least from the alpine touring course, climbing on rock. Sure-footed in firn and with crampons. No fear of heights. Excellent physical condition and constitution for all-day tours and the long descent to the valley. Ascent speed 300 metres altitude/hour.

Equipment Material: Take only the essentials, we carry everything!

 If available, SAC ID card, gloves, hat, windproof breathable clothing, rain protection, sports underwear, light down jacket or similar.

Climbing harness, 2 slings 120cm, at least 3 screw carabiners, 3-4 quickdraws, Prusik sling, abseil brake, 4m long and 5-6mm diameter rope, if available Microtraxion (automatic backstop/climbing clamp), if available single rope (40-50m long) please specify when registering, mountain boots and adapted crampons with anti-pole, possibly gaiters, possibly trekking pole, light ice axe and helmet.
