Hotels and Low-budget accommodations

The official congress hotel is the Hotel Allegro / Kursaal Bern (same location as the closing ceremony at Kursaal Bern).

Our partner, Bern Incoming, has made pre-reservations for congress participants in several hotels. Early booking via the booking platform of Bern Incoming is encouraged. You may check the location of the hotels in the city centre here.

Low-budget accommodations:
The Sport Center of the University of Bern (15 min walking distance to the Congress venue) can host up to 56 participants in an underground dorm. Bunk beds, pillows, blankets, and breakfast (7am-8am daily) are provided. Guests have access to locker rooms where they can safely secure some of their belongings. Towels are not provided. No reimbursement. (The Congress Organisation will not be responsible for any losses of personal belongings).

“Couch surfing” (Limited spots available): Several students from the University of Bern volunteered to host participants in their home (for free or against a fee of maximum CHF 10 per night). Contact the Congress Manager for information reservation. First come first serve, only available to participants who paid their registration fees.

Two backpacker hostels (shared rooms) and one youth hostel (shared rooms), all of them within the city centre, are also available for your stay.

Another cheap possibility is camping at the TCS-Campingplatz accessible by car or by bus (number 101 direction Hinterkappelen, a 5 minutes’ walk). Bring your own tent or book a bungalow or mobile home. Please contact camping.bern@tcs.ch for details and booking and mention that you are participant of the FEPSAC Congress. As there is a limited number of places, early booking is encouraged.
