The stated costs cover organisation and instruction. The travel costs, also for cable cars, are at the expense of the participants. Accommodation costs are not included in the price and have to be paid in CASH on site. Please bring cash with you.

Content/program

Tour planning and implementation of tours under professional guidance.

- Route planning with route planning form

- Map / orientation - Animals in the wintery mountains, campaign "Respect your limits"

- Implementation of the route planning, deciding and creating good tracks.

Prerequisites for attendance
Prior attendance of the Unisport avalanche course. Basic knowledge of avalanche awareness. Basic knowledge of avalanche transceiver (3-antenna device), probe and shovel, also in practice.

Fitness for short application tours with approx. 800 - 1200 meters ascent and descent and fluent skiing/snowboarding in all types of snow.

Participants must have done at least 2 ski tours beforehand.

Equipment

All participants are responsible to organise their own equipment. Backpack approx. 30l packing volume, snacks and a thermos bottle, sunglasses, googles, sun cream, lipstick, Toothbrush and earplugs, small pocket pharmacy with bandage, Blister plasters and personal medication, sun hat, cap, Windproof, breathable clothing, thermal underwear, warm pullover, gloves (2 x warm, 1 x thin), shoes for travelling and als houseshoes.

If possible: Smartphone with the app "White Risk" And/or a map 1: 25,000 (1251 Val Bedretto, or print from map.geo.admin.ch). Pen and paper.

Avalanche beacon, shovel and probe.

Skier: Tourski boots, tourskis, ski poles, skins, crampons. Snowboarder: snowboard boots, telescope poles, splitboard incl. repair kit or snowboard; snowshoes with crampons. We recommend a splitboard. Rental equipment: Avalanche beacon(CHF 8.00 / day), shovel (CHF 3.00 / day) and probe (CHF 3.00 / day), Snowshoes (CHF 8.00 / day) and poles(CHF 5.00 / day) can be rented at University sports.
