Content/program

Freeriding without limits for skiers and snowboarders! The mountain lifts transport you up to the top of the hills where spectacular descents await you to ride them. The mountain guides guarantee safe descents. For more remote descents, climbing skinns or snow shoes are essential tools.

Arrival individually on Friday evening. Overnight stay at the Catrina Resort in Disentis in shared rooms. All rooms are equipped with WC/shower and bed linen. We return to Bern on sunday at arround 4.30 pm from Disentis.

The price includes:

  • overnight accommodation including breakfast
  • 2-day lift pass
  • 2 days of lessons with certified mountain guides

The following costs are at the expense of the participants:

  • lunch and dinner (please take your own lunch with you)
  • any material rent
  • Travel costs by public transport

The detailed programme will be sent by e-mail shortly before the course starts. We reserve the right to cancel the course at short notice if the number of participants is too low.

Prerequisites for attendance This course is aimed at advanced off-piste skiers and snowboarders. This means you have to be able to ride off piste terrain a smooth and safe manner.

Equipment

Bring your own touring equipment: Ski, Boots, poles, avalanche beacon, probe, shovel, snow shoes or climbing skinns, crampons for tour-bindings, backpack to carry ski or snowboard, appropriate clothing, gloves, sun or snow goggles, thermos flask.

University sports rents Avalance beacons, probes, schovels, snowschoes and poles.

Wearing a helmet is compulsory. We recommend wearing a back armor as additional protective equipment as well.
