Cross country skiing Skating equipment rental

Registration is required.Please note: On the 9th of December 24, only students of the University of Bern and the PHBern can rent skis. On the  12.th of December also to employees, students of other universities and card holders.Students of the University of Bern, the PHBern and holders of university sports cards have priority over students of other universities when registering. Therefore, registration is only possible for them one week after online approval. After that, registration is open to all eligible participants with a valid ID.

Unisport has around 40 pieces of skating equipment that it rents out. That Material is in good condition, but not always the same Quality like a commercial rental. Unisport rental equipment is not sold. The rental takes place in the ski room in the garage ZSSw, Bremgartenstrasse 145, 3012 Bern.

On December 8th, 2025, students at the University of Bern and rented out by PHBern. On December 11th, 2025 also to employees, students of other universities and ID card holders.

Rental conditions: Tenants must register in advance. Height, weight and shoe size must be specified. That Material will be provided in advance based on the information. The shoes can be tried on site. After registering, we will send you a time when shortly before the pick-up date you have to appear on site to pick up the material. This time is mandatory to comply with With the registration you will receive a request to pay the rental costs. Please only pay after you have received the material.

If we don't have the right material for you, we will contact you first inform.

Rental price: Students: CHF 130.- /employees and ID holders: CHF 160.- for complete equipment for the whole Winter, consisting of cross-country skis, cross-country boots and cross-country poles.

Return: The equipment will be returned either on Monday, April 13th, 2026 between 6 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. or on Thursday, April 16th, 2026 between 12.30 p.m and 1 p.m. The material must be treated with care, any damage will be compensated University sports reported. We ask that the skis be waxed returned. If the equipment is not returned on time, costs of CHF 200.00 will be charged. If the equipment after a one-time reminder is still not returned, we will raise an additional one Fee of CHF 700.00.
