The price does not include costs for travel, mountain railway tickets and overnight stay (half board) in the hut. Costs including half board: CHF 105,- per night and person. The fee can be paid for in cash or by card.

Content/program Basics and introduction for independent assessment of avalanche dangers: Avalanche-forming factors and types, interpretation of the avalanche bulletin, tour planning, risk management with 3x3, graphic reduction method, typical avalanche problems and alarm signals. Practice in the field: Judging-deciding-behavior and dealing with the personal safety equipment (avalanche beacon, probe, shovel). Overnight stay: depending on the course location, approx. CHF 50.00-70.00 per night including half board. The specified costs cover organization and instruction. The travel costs, also for possible cable cars, are the expense of the participants. Accommodation costs are not included Price included and can be paid in cash or by card.
Prerequisites for attendance Physical condition for short tours with an ascent of approx. 700 - 1000 meters ascent and descent. Smooth skiing / snowboarding in all types of snow.

Equipment

Backpack 20-25l packing volume, avalanche beacon(3 antenna device!), shovel, probe, cap, gloves, windproof, breathable clothing, thermal underwear, warm sweater (layered principle), snacks for 3 days, thermos bottle (max. 1 Liter), sunglasses, light-colored ski goggles Glasses, sunscreen, lipstick, sun hat, ear plugs, flashlight, toiletries, blister plasters, head torch, pen and paper.

Skiers: Tourski boots, tourskis, ski poles, skins, crampons.
Snowboarder: Snowboard boots, telescopic poles, splitboard or snowboard Snowshoes with crampons. We recommend a splitboard.

IMPORTANT: SNOWBOARDERS MUST TAKE APPROPRIATE REPAIR MATERIAL / SPARE PARTS FOR THE BINDINGS!

Avalanche beacon (CHF 8.00 / day), shovel (CHF 3.00 / day), probe (CHF 3.00 / day), snowshoes (CHF 8.00 / day) and sticks (CHF 5.00 / day) can be rented at University Sports.

All participants are responsible to organise their own equipment. Hut shoes are available. It is possible to shower.

Install the "Whiterisk" and "Swisstopo" apps on the smartphone beforehand. When installing, be sure to grant the apps permission for the location query. Both apps are free of charge.
